    How this works

Every two weeks, TAMU UPD publishes public Crime Alert bulletins for stolen electric bikes and scooters (a Clery Act requirement). This site uses those alerts, matches each reported location to the nearest defined campus bike-rack zone, and scores it one of two ways. Zones with at least one qualifying report get a real letter grade, A+ to F, weighing recent reports more than older ones and blending each zone's own history with the campus-wide average based on how much rack capacity (i.e. how much evidence) that zone has. Zones with zero reports get an estimated grade instead, shown with a "~", based on nearby zones that do have reports, since a zone with no reports of its own isn't necessarily any safer than the area around it.

Always lock your bike properly regardless of zone grade!!
